Water heaters can account for up to 30% of a home’s monthly electric bill, so a solar water heater can cut that bill by a lot! Solar water heaters don’t require the extensive up-front investment as a full blown set of solar panels to power a house. This way you can “ease into” using solar energy and get a lot of “bang for your buck”. It’s also important to check into the possibility of tax credits and rebates for installing solar power devices.
